DIY Drones is a personal UAV community, for amateurs, promoting Arduino based copters, fixed wing, and vehicular drones. The community, or social network, has created the world’s first “universal autopilot” with GitHub code repository. You can purchase or build your own drone via their sister organizations,3DRobotics and Ardupilot. The site allows members to create there own blogs, participate in forum discussions etc, and was founded by Chris Anderson a former Wired editor.
