UPDATED January 1, 2024: I have created a New Digital Day Planner PDF for Remarkable 2 that can be uploaded to your Remarkable 2 and used as you would the above templates, which does NOT require you to make any modifications to the Remarkable file structure.
I am a big fan of New York Times Bestselling author, Michael Hyatt’s Full Focus Planner. His books and productivity system have had a great impact on my life. If you are familiar with his system, he is decidedly paper when it comes to planning. His logic is that there is less distraction in paper.
I used his quarterly paper-based planners for twelve quarters. However, between the planner, a journal, paper client notes, a laptop, and everything else you have to carry for travel, it became a lot to transport.
I have been testing the Remarkable 2 tablet, which can be hacked to add templates…
The Remarkable 2 tablet is really digital paper. This means, it is not a web browser, it does not receive email, using it does not subject you to distraction. I have found some great utility in digitizing Michael Hyatt’s Full Focus planner on the Remarkable 2 tablet. Journal, Goals, Daily pages, Weekly Review, all in one. An additional bonus was that I could modify the templates to better fit my own process; as Hyatt has done for his (much of his full focus planner draws on components of other productivity and efficiency experts).
I have included the templates I used on my Remarkable 2 as thought starters for your own templates:
For your own copy, follow (apologies for the watermark) these YouTube instructions with the files below:
I highly recommend binding the IP of your Remarkable in your home router to make the FileZilla update process more streamlined.
I send out planners on a quarterly basis, with the dates populated. You can sign up to receive them here:
A few have asked for the file package. Happy to share, just submit a request on the about page.
can you show how to do this on Mac OS? I get to the template step but then can’t edit the json file. thanks
Hello, can you try to right-click on the .json file>open with> other>select the Text Edit app and then select open? That should allow you to edit the template.
